GS1 India already offers discounted rates on subscription renewals for periods of more than one year. As the rates are standardized, no further discounts can be provided. 

If your products are available in stores or on online marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, etc. you should renew your barcode subscription license. Renewal is mandatory even if your products are not selling. 

The renewal charges are reasonable and have been approved by the GS1 India board. GS1 barcodes are the only interoperable, standardised and structured barcodes used to trade goods, whether domestically or internationally. Product information encoded in GS1 barcodes can be validated by anyone across the supply chain and is completely authentic. 

If you haven’t been receiving any notifications, check your spam/trash folder. GS1 India sends multiple reminders starting 60 days in advance through various communication channels, including email, SMS, and calls to the registered contact details. If you missed these notifications, please verify if there have been any changes in your contact details or the contact person. If so, the necessary process to update your information in GS1 India’s records should be followed.  

GS1-8 is allocated to products with space constraints. It works similarly to a GTIN-13, helping in the unique identification of trade items, globally.  

Yes, GS1-8 is the same as an EAN-8 barcode. GS1-8 or GTIN-8 is the unique identification number or Global Trade Item Number that is encoded in data carriers like EAN-8.  

GLNs are reference keys for retrieving information from databases about physical location (stores, manufacturing centers, warehouses , sales offices, etc.), digital location (network address, development status), (legal entities (corporate headquarter, etc.) and functional locations (vending machines, bottling unit, etc.).

If a location identified by a GLN changes, the party responsible for the GLN should change the GLN number. A GLN that has stopped being used, should remain so as per the GLN non-reuse rules.

GS1 barcode verification report is required for exports or for compliance.

We provide a detailed report with recommendations on what needs to be fixed. You can then make the necessary adjustments and you may resubmit barcode for re-verification after paying the fees.

After receiving the complete documents and payment, the registration process takes 7-10 working days. Afterwards, the registration kit will be sent by email comprises of your GS1 Barcode allotment letter, invoice and receipt. Further our technical department will assist you to generate the barcodes.
